At Audrain County Crisis Intervention Services (ACCIS), our volunteers are the heart of what we do. Whether offering a comforting presence, lending a helping hand, or sharing a special skill, every volunteer plays a vital role in supporting survivors and strengthening our community.

– Crisis Line Support (after training)

– Shelter Support & Donation Sorting

– Event Planning & Fundraising

– Office & Administrative Help

– Community Outreach Events

– Special Projects or skills-based volunteering.

Volunteer Requirements


– Must be 18 years or older

– Complete a volunteer application and background check.

– Attend orientation and any required training.

– Commitment levels vary by role, both short and long term roles available.
